Telstra Area Southern NSW general manager Chris Taylor said the main transmission cable was cut that feeds base stations across the Southern Tablelands area including Goulburn.

“The Goulburn CBD area was affected,” Mr Taylor said.

“We have moved the Southern Tablelands data transmissions onto another line while staff repaired the line that was cut.”

Mr Taylor said users of the Telstra 4G network were affected by the outage.
