Next Monday, May 30, retailers can learn how to create compelling visual merchandise, step-by-step, to increase returns and keep customers happy.
President of the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce Alex Ridley says the shop window and store interior is often the first engagement with products or brand.
"It’s extremely important that they say the right thing and highlight the best products which will serve your customer’s current needs," she said.
On Monday, June 27, the second workshop will show how to increase customer sales and service excellence through influencing buyer’s choice.
The council’s economic development officer, Debbi Rodden, says workshop attendees will also be able to book a free one-on-one session in their own shop with the presenter, to look at their business’s specific circumstances.
Retail consultant and trainer Brian Ambler will bring more than 30 years' experience in retail to the fore in his role as workshop presenter.
These workshops are supported by a number of organisations including the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, NSW Department of Industry, Regional Development Australia, Small Biz Connect and the Business Enterprise Centre.
A few spots still remain. If you are a local retailer with a store and shopfront and would like to attend the workshops, please register today with Debbi Rodden at debbi.rodden@goulburn.nsw.gov.au. Seats are limited.
Workshops run from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at the council chambers, Bourke St. A light supper will be provided.
