GOULBURN Stockmen U10s Z1 travelled to Queanbeyan on Sunday to take on Queanbeyan United and came away with a well-earned 20-6 win, the team’s second win in a row.

Goulburn started off strongly, completing their sets well, and after some solid runs from forwards Jack Rhall and Harrison Charnock, Keiran Sakiasi bullocked his way over to score the first try.
It wasn’t long and Goulburn had their second try, when Lachlan Norris crashed over after some good meters made by Goulburn centres Brady Smith and Mitchell Ezzy.
Boyd McCallum converted and Goulburn went into half time up 10 - nil.
The second half started much the same as the first, and after strong runs by Thomas Divall and Gary Price, Clinton Latham shifted the ball wide to Tom Charnock, who showed good speed to score out wide.
Queanbeyan were next to score against the run of play making it 14 - 6 midway through the second half.
Queanbeyan were straight on the attack again but Goulburn’s defence, led by Jamie Cowling, was flawless.
After taking a kick in his own in goal Zac Brooker made a great run down field and Goulburn were on the attack again.
After some good plays close to the line, Lachlan Norris crashed over for his second try.
Tom Charnock converted it, and Goulburn had the match sewn up at 20-6 with only a few minutes to go.
Goulburn Coach Shane McCallum was happy with his team’s performance both in attack and in defence.
Goulburn’s defensive record this year is impeccable, only conceding two tries in their three matches played to date.
