May I correct your report, which quoted me: "...also asked when the Faithfull St gates were going to be fixed".
What I have actually remarked on several times is what I regard as an unsightly mish-mash of the three elements of this gateway, which bear no relation to each other.
These must have been put in, unthinkingly, at various times.
