Junior clinics
MATTHEW and Karen Benjamin from Crookwell Squash and Fitness recently held their six week Junior Squash Development Clinic number one.
There were nine children who trained on Wednesday afternoons for six weeks under guidance of squash coach Todd Bennett from Crookwell Squash Club.
Most of the children were new to the sport of Squash and really enjoyed the new challenges.
Hopefully now that the clinic is completed they will continue to learn and hone their Squash skills.
It was very pleasing to see the parents come along, especially coming out into the cold, to support their children.
After the school holidays Matthew and Karen will be hosting Junior Squash Development Clinic number two.
In the meantime there will be casual sessions for these young players and friends who have had some basic skills.
These are currently being held and will continue during the school holidays on July 6 and July 13 from 3.45 – 4.45 pm.
The fees are $5 each per session.
There will be review of learned skills and lots of fun.
They ask that parents of participants book by the Sunday before each session on 4832 1355 or 0419 141 053.
Other winter warmer activities atCrookwell Squash Centre for the school holidays include: Squash, volleyball and table tennis, Tuesday July 5, 11am – 2pm and Friday July 8, 11am – 2pm, $5 each.
Book by Monday, July 4.
They are also taking names for junior squash clinics number one for beginners and number two.
