No passengers were injured after a yoghurt truck driving to Canberra lost control on the Federal Highway near Wollogorang, about 20km south of Goulburn.
NSW Fire and Rescue and Goulburn police arrived on the scene to coordinate traffic and block off the spilled yoghurt, which happened at about 9.30 am.
The Southbound lane was awashed with yoghurt as a result of the accident.
NSW Fire and Rescue Southern Highlands Duty Commander Allen Gerrard said the SES and council services were working on removing the yoghurt.
“We’re trying to lessen the impact of [the spilled] dairy on water supply,” he said.
Residents from surrounding areas in the Goulburn Mulwaree region have taken to Twitter to comment on the yoghurt truck accident with some funny responses.
I think the yoghurt story could be past its used-by date. https://t.co/uDn4THWr5e— Eddie Williams (@EddieWilliams13) September 21, 2016
