The dynamic light display is centred on Belmore Park’s Rotunda.
The lighting projection, by artist Emrah Baki-Ulas and his UTS lighting design students, will be screened from dusk to midnight.
Mr Baki-Ulas is no stranger to Goulburn, as he previously presented the lighting display on the Goulburn Courthouse for the 2015 Spring Event Series, for the ANZAC Centenary at the Rocky Hill War Memorial in April 2015 and St Saviour's Cathedral for Goulburn's 150th birthday in 2013.
The Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night will also take place. This pretty and gentle lantern walk through the park starts at 6.15 pm.
Designed to promote awareness of leukaemia and other blood cancers, and to raise much-needed funds for finding a cure. Survivors of these cancers, or those who have lost loved ones to cancer, of any kind are invited to walk holding high a shining lantern in remembrance.
All ages are welcome with safe battery lights available for young children at $5 each. There will also be a barbecue and coffee available.
Register online at lightthenight.org.au/event/goulburn for a free lantern, or purchase one in the park for $20. Lights will be ready for collection from 5pm Saturday. For further enquiries please call 02 4822 2650
