Police are preparing a brief for the Coroner on the circumstances surrounding the death of a 69-year-old man found floating in the Wollondilly River on Saturday afternoon.

“We are preparing a brief for the Coroner, but at this stage there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances,” Detective Inspector Matt Woods said.
Det Insp Woods said the man’s name had not been released, but his body had been formally identified by relatives.
His body was found 100m west of Victoria St bridge.
