THE fine weather must have lifted people’s spirits – if the turn out to last Saturday’s Parkside (Rotary) Markets was anything to go by.

One of the organisers, Neil Penning said the markets are really coming into their own now and some of the unique attractions are a hit with many of the patrons.

“The 30’s Chev, which often accompanies the Kingsdale Wines stall, always adds to the bright atmosphere to the markets,” he said.

“The ‘Antiques Ownshow’ was also a part of the markets last weekend. This was a chance for people to bring along their odd antiques and jewellery, to basically show them off and get some advice on the history and value of their oddities.”

He said a larger ‘Antiques Ownshow’ is planned for early next year.
