Tackleworld proprietor Josh Lambert said over 70 adults and 30 plus children took time out to go fishing NSW Gone Fishing Day.
“The results were quite pleasing and a real indication that there are sizeable fish to be caught in the dam”, Lambert said.
“Most of the landed trout landed measured in the 30cm to 40cm bracket.
“The largest one landed, recorded and released was 52cm long, caught by Steve Jankoski.
“The next longest was right on the half-metre mark and landed recorded and released by Lazo Jankoski. Ashleigh Sharwood claimed the third largest at 49cm.”
The junior winner was Oli Picker with a 37cm catch. Next was Brock Edwards with one at 33cm and eight-year-old Zara George was pleased with her third prize winning 31cm trout.
Chelsea Bourke also had a lucky day picking up the lucky draw prize.
