The accident on the corner of Robinson and Combermere Streets happened shortly after 11am, today, Friday October 21.
Police, including the rescue squad, ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW attended the scene.
While the vehicles needed towing the occupants of the two vehicles did not require ambulance transportation to hospital.
Police who attended the scene reminded all drivers to be mindful of the blind spots on their vehicles, like the left hand front door pillar that can potentially mask an approaching vehicle.
A proprietor of the corner store said the corner was notorious for accidents and close calls, with at least one incident happening nearly every week.
“People on Combermere Street coming from either direction as well as people making turns into Combermere, seem to not see other approaching vehicles at the intersection,” he said.
