The band comprises Lachlan and Thomas Bensley, Travis Lichtenberger and Jack Steel.
Leaving Reality performed at the Relay 4 Life last Saturday, in the Mulwaree High School slot. They will also be going down to Sydney on October 30 to perform in the Sydney Blues and Roots Festival.
The Bensley brothers have been performing and entertaining audiences throughout the Southern Highlands and Goulburn for the past 10 years and won the recent busking competition sponsored by the Conservatorium.
They play rock, blues and contemporary music and have performed with the likes of Geoff Harvey, Johnny Spitz and Justin Anderson.
Lachlan and Thomas are both students and ambassadors of the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium. Thomas was selected as Conservatorium captain for 2017.
“I am thrilled to be given the position of GRC Captain for 2017. This is a role that comes with a lot of opportunity as well as responsibility and I am looking forward to working under the valuable tutorship of Paul Scott-Williams, Keva Abotomey and the other incredible staff at the GRC,” Thomas said.
The ‘Zoso: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin’ tribute concert brings together four local musicians from different backgrounds, which is fitting in attempting to play songs from a body of work that is so varied.
They are Joe Conroy on vocals, Rusty Crook on guitar, bass, strings and organ, Robbie Gregory on drums and Luke Wheeldon on guitar.
The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium is at 160 Bourke Street, Goulburn. Tickets cost adults $20, children $10. Bookings are now open by calling 4821 8833. Tickets are also available at the door.
