There are delays on the M5 at Kingsgrove this morning following a truck crash.
It will be sunny with a high of 26C in the city and Parramatta today, with the UV index in the extreme range. The weekend looks similarly perfect with temperatures in the mid-20s. There may be late storms on Sunday.

Having a not-so-perfect day is Richard Capuano, a former resident of St Peters whose old home is about to be bulldozed for the WestConnex motorway. Mr Capuano is still fighting for what he regards as fair compensation for his house. The latest letter from the Roads and Maritime Services wasn't good news. Read Sean Nicholls' report here.
