At about 3.15pm a fire began burning through two hectares of land.

Twenty-two fire fighters from Mulwaree Support, Tarlo, Middle Arm and Pomeroy brigades responded.

The fire was eventually contained. The cause is yet to be determined. 

NSW Rural Fire Service Southern Tablelands Superintendent Peter Alley asked people to remain sensible on hot, dry windy days. 

“Think twice about your outside activities,” Mr Alley said. “This combination of heat and wind means the fire will run fast. The stronger the winds, the more dangerous.”
