Yet another talented daughter of I Am Invincible, Eckstein has won at her past four racetrack appearances, but it is the unseen work of Goldman and rider Heather Poland that allows her to be in the Magic Millions Guineas as a black type winner.

"I always thought she had the measure of Hellbent when they were young. She was that good. He was just more professional and was able to do it a lot more quickly," Goldman said.

"She just needed to mature and Heather spent a lot of time getting her to do that. We took her away to Queensland and just had to get her to relax.

"She had bad racing manners, bad barrier manners and flipped over in the gates once. She was one of those horses that needed a personal touch. 

"[Eckstein] actually just wanted to fight with anyone who tried to stand over her but Heather worked with her. Heather just worked with her and has got her to this point, she should take a lot of the credit. 

"I would still say she is not there yet but she is good enough to win four in a row and get to the race we have targeted."

Poland won a Highway Handicap on Eckstein to break her maiden and also the listed Mode Stakes at Eagle Farm, which were split by a Rosehill win for Mitchell Bell.

Brenton Avdulla took over for another win at the Gold Coast last Saturday, which has her $14 third favourite behind Winning Rupert and group 1 winner Global Glamour for the Guineas.

"I'm very confident in my horse, I know Winning Rupert is very good but I think she is going to be better at the 1400m and wouldn't swap her," Goldman said.

"If you look at last week's win, Brenton had to burn the candle at both ends over 1200m and she still was very strong at the line.

"We have thought that she is going to get a mile and the way the race will be run should suit her."

Before going on her winning run, Eckstein was a couple of lengths runner-up to Impending as a two-year-old before starting her three-year-old campaign by being the same margin from Spright after coursing four-deep throughout.

"She had been in work for 240 days as a two-year-old leading into the run behind Impending and that's when I knew I wasn't crazy thinking that she was that good," Goldman said.

"The first-up run behind Spright she was very good considering she was a little flat after coming back from Queensland but until they start winning you have to doubt yourself a bit.

"But you look at what those two [horses] have done in the spring and it shows she was pretty good. We know she was still learning then and she still is, so her best is to come."
