It’s nearly time for one of the city’s defining celebrations, the annual Rose Festival. The 24th annual Rose Show is on March 11-12, but now is the time for volunteers to prune the blooms in Victoria Park so they may look their best come early autumn. Meet on January 20 from 8am, and bring-your-own hat/sunscreen, water and secateurs. A morning tea will be provided.
