The Lions Club of Gunning will be catering for breakfast, serving bacon, eggs, sausages, juice, coffee and tea. Cost is $5 per person or $10 per family. All welcome to attend.
Awards to be presented by Upper Lachlan Shire Council‘s Australia Day Ambassador, Jacinta Tynan, in the categories of: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Event of the Year.
Upper Lachlan Mayor Brian McCormack has urged all residents to get along to this year’s festivities. “Australia Day is a time to celebrate our great nation and honour our unsung heroes for their outstanding contributions to the local community,” he said.
Howzat! Cricket
Cricket comes to Collector on Australia Day, January 26, 10am-4pm on the new pitch! A free morning tea and activities for the kids, with a gold coin donation for the barbecue and soft drink, supported by the Pot Black Club and Collector Oval Committee. Bring a chair, hat, sunscreen, Esky and your Aussie spirit.

Brigade AGM
The annual general meeting of the Dalton Bushfire Brigade will be held Saturday, February 11 at 2.30pm at the Fire Shed in Chapel Street, Dalton. All welcome, including new members.
PA&I Show
The Gunning PA&I Society Show will be on Sunday, February 19, with trots on Saturday, February 18. Show membership includes entry, free parking on the grounds and an advance copy of the schedule. One last week
Feedback on the draft Southern Tablelands regional community strategic plan must close on Friday, January 27. Copies of the plan are available at Upper Lachlan Shire Council offices and libraries or on the website upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au. Have your say, as the plan will set the council’s strategic direction for the next 20 years. Submissions must be made in writing to the General Manager, PO Box 42, Gunning 2581 by 4pm on Friday.
