A good sized crowd of locals and visitors turned up to watch the 44 starters on the Goulburn Track attempt to push their way to the lead in a series of heats to qualify for the main feature race.
Local driver Peter Granger was unlucky not to have placed higher, but managed to move from 11th to seventh in the feature race. In his first heat Granger stalled his machine after it spun around and was hit heavily by Jamieson Blyton #15. The impact rolled Granger’s car, but it was relatively unscathed and once righted he resumed racing. There was plenty more action throughout the night with cars coming together and the occasional equipment failure.
The Wingless Sprint main feature race also had several restarts closing the gap for cars that had been strung out around the track.
In the final lap sprint to the line Sydney driver Harley Smee admitted his car could not match the pace of the winner Marshall Blyton, with Troy Carey finishing a close third.
Jamieson Blyton finished where Granger started,11th, after working his way through the field in the feature.
In the Modified Sedans feature race a driver was black flagged after an apparent racing altercation with the Patton car. The Micro Sprint cars also produced plenty of position changes in their feature race.
