An ecumenical service led by Beth Bailey will be held at Christ Church, Addison Street at 10am on March 3.
Anglican Bishop of Canberra/Goulburn Stuart Robinson will be guest speaker.
“Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of faith,” Mrs Bailey said.
Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines in November, 2013, causing widespread destruction and poverty. It was one of many natural disasters besetting the country. Women are also subjected to domestic violence and sex trafficking.
The theme of this year’s World Prayer Day is ‘Am I being unfair to you?’
A collection will be taken up for the country. Morning tea will be served afterward.
