Goulburn shivered through the coldest February morning since 1996 on Tuesday morning, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

The Goulburn Airport recorded a minimum temperatures of 0.7 degrees at 6.20am, and in town (TAFE) it reached 3.3 degrees.
Temperatures have not dropped this low since the first day of November last year.
In Taralga, the mercury dropped to 1.2 degrees Celsius and in Braidwood it got down to a mere 2.3 degrees. It was slightly hotter in Yass, which reached 2.6 degrees and in Moss Vale, 5.7 degrees.
The last time Goulburn, Taralga and Braidwood experienced such cold February mornings was in 1996. For Moss Vale it has not been that cold in February since in 2011. The drop in temperatures on Tuesday will contrast to the heat that is forecasted for the rest of the week. Temperatures in Goulburn on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will climb into the 30s, with a cool change on the weekend.
