Last year’s popular parkour act, Dauntless Movement Crew (DMC), will also be returning as part of the festival’s third year.
The free community festival begun as an extension of the Goulburn Multicultural Centre’s annual festival which is held at Belmore Park during the day.
“It is about giving the young, up and coming groups in Goulburn the opportunity to play with a headline act and involve the Be Seen and Be Heard group – showcasing what they can do as well,” Goulburn Mulwaree Council events officer Angela Remington said.
“Jakubi have a huge following on Facebook and Instagram, and when we had a listen of their music, they were what we were looking for. We’re really happy they’ve come on board.”
Between 3 and 5pm DMC will be organising a free parkour workshop at the RSL, an addition Ms Remington hopes people will get involved in.
“The day gives youth something to do, let local acts have a platform to play plus the community comes out and enjoys the park and live music.
“We’re aiming at all ages, families as well as adults, that enjoy music. It’s something that caters to everyone.”
Food and drinks will be available for purchase at Belmore Park throughout the night.
The festival will be held on February 25 between 5 and 11pm. For more information head to the Vibesfest 2017’s Facebook page or call the Goulburn Visitor Information Centre on 4823 4492.
