BRAIDWOOD: In pool years, the Braidwood Memorial Pool is ancient. Built in 1966, it hit 50 last year, and the plumbing has lasted well beyond its normal lifespan.
Sitting underneath the pool is a mire of corroded core plumbing cast iron pipes, causing the pool to leak a large amount of water each day. As they are integral to the pool, the pipes will be impossible to replace without major works. Read more.
