In case you missed it, tucked in your doona cocoon, a bit of excitement rolled through the city overnight with thunder and lightning that lit up the Southern Tablelands’ skies.
Mr Sullivan, a Goulburn resident, was at work in the Brady industrial area at the time.
“I filmed it on my phone and paused it when the flashes appeared,” he said of how he captured these images (as lightning can be tricky to capture in an off-the-cuff snap).
Those “pauses” are the photos you see here. Mr Sullivan “thought they looked cool, so I thought I’d send them in,” he said. We appreciate that, and think our readers will, too.
Today, the Bureau of Meteorology radar shows light to moderate rains sweeping south-east from the state’s central west down to the Illawarra to give it a good soaking.
Warnings are current for motorists in that area to avoid travel where practicable.
In Goulburn and surrounds, today’s forecast is for a partly cloudy day with light winds, an 80 per cent chance of more rain, and another thunderstorm to follow.
