Anzac Day
What a privilege it was to again be part of the Anzac Day celebrations within Goulburn Mulwaree. I am always pleased to see the huge crowds that turn out for each service throughout the day, including the special Anzac march.

We must never forget the sacrifices that have been made for us to enjoy the lives we do. Lest we forget.
New citizens
Last week I was honoured to welcome 20 new citizens into Goulburn Mulwaree as Australian citizens. Deputy Mayor Alfie Walker and Councillor Leah Ferrara also attended to welcome our new citizens. New citizens came from all corners of the world, including Nepal, India, England, China and Greece.
It’s always an honour to welcome new Australian citizens from a range of different backgrounds into our community, and I’m confident they will make great contributions to Goulburn Mulwaree.
Regional Development on agenda
After the recent disappointment of losing Ticket Masters Australia (TMA), who wanted to move to Goulburn from Fairfield, we are keeping Regional Development on the agenda with a submission to the NSW Government Upper House inquiry into regional development and a ‘Global Sydney.’
It is clear we can no longer retain TMA in NSW, but the State Government has a major responsibility to ensure no other businesses in the Sydney basin being forced out by growth pressures are lost from regional NSW as well.
I’ll keep the community updated as we put this submission together prior to June 4, the closing date.
Victoria Street works
Roadworks are planned for Thursday on Victoria Street between Kinghorne and Opal Streets (weather permitting).
The works will be carried out from 9:30am-2:30pm, and traffic control measures will be in place throughout this time. We’d like to thank residents impacted by these works for their cooperation, and we will do our best to minimise inconvenience and disruption.
