Participants can book by visiting the RDA Southern Region website and filling out a registration form: www.rdasi.org.au or by phoning 4822 6397. Participants are urged to book early to secure their place.
RDA says there are good reasons for small businesses who don’t have a website to market themselves on the internet. Research shows that more and more people are searching for products and services online (Sensis, 2016 e-Business report):
- 82 per cent of Australians are looking for information on products and services online;
- 78pc of Australians are looking for suppliers of products and services;
- 55pc of mobile users and 42pc of tablet users are ordering goods and services online;
- Only 61pc percent of small to medium businesses have a website.
The workshop is being hosted by RDA Southern Inland in partnership with the Southern Region Business Enterprise Centre (BEC), and supported by the Goulburn Community College and WorkSpace 2580.
RDA Southern Inland is part of a national network of 55 Regional Development Australia committees across Australia. These committees are made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support the development of regional Australia.
