The quality is the equal to anything in Sydney or Canberra at half the price.
- Provincial Land Developments managing director David Miers
Sales manager of ‘The Tillage’, Chris Rigney, said the new development would feature wide roads and have mature trees (oaks, pears maples, elms and cherry blossoms) planted.
At the opening, Provincial Land Developments managing director David Miers said strong interest had already been shown in the development from buyers.
“The Tillage will be predominately offering 700sqm blocks of land and the estate has been designed to create a relaxed, safe and enjoyable community,” Mr Miers said.
“It is early stages, but there is already a lot of interest and more than 25 blocks have been sold already.”
Mr Miers said he expected completion of the whole site by June 2018, with civil works to be finished in February 2018.
“The first concrete will be laid on houses in July 2018,” he said.
“We are very proud of the development. We believe it is unique to Goulburn and will bring a new level of contemporary living to the area.
“Our aim with Provincial Land Developments is to establish a reputation for quality and value for money and modern residential estate living. The quality is the equal to anything in Sydney or Canberra at half the price.”
At the opening, Goulburn Mulwaree Mayor Bob Kirk praised the developers for showing confidence in Goulburn.
“As the directors of Provincial Land Developments, it is very good that you have shown confidence and faith to come to Goulburn and take up this offer,” Cr Kirk said.
“It is a bold step for first-time developers, but go big or go home, they say, and they have certainly done this here.
“I am not surprised that you have had immediate response. This area to the north of Goulburn we have seen as the main future development of the residential areas of the city.”
There will also be a reserve area on the development and wide pathways with access to the river.
“The benefits of an active and relaxing lifestyle are things we believe all future residents of The Tillage appreciate, that’s why we have designed the pathways to guide you toward the river,” Mr Miers said.
