A number of livestock have been euthanised after a Hume Highway collision overnight near Sutton Forest.

About 8.30pm on Thursday, May 25, police were called following reports of a collision involving livestock on the Hume Highway near the Illawarra Highway overpass.
Officers from Hume Local Area Command attended and found a prime mover semi trailer, a Volkswagen Transporter and a Honda Civic had all collided with 14 cattle on the roadway.
As a result of the collision, 11 of the 14 cattle had to be euthanised because of the seriousness of their injuries.
None of the drivers were injured in the accident.
Police investigations are continuing into the crash and the owner of the cattle is assisting police with their inquiries.
