Baskerville offers Ken Ludwig’s popular style of comedy mixed with murder, mayhem and suspense to re-tell the famous spine-chilling story of the Hound of the Baskervilles.
The play is based on Conan Doyle’s classic novel.
Director Chrisjohn Hancok said the Lieder production features a formidable cast of experienced local performers who together play over 40 roles.
“The actors include Joshua Waters, Black Selmes as Sherlock and Watson supported frantically by Martin Sanders, Ryan Paranthoiene, Annie Foley, Harrison Treble and Courtney McKenzie,” Mr Hancock said.
“The play is being costumed by Pauline J Mullen, assisted by Melissa Chandler, Christine Bentley and Amanda Weeks, and boasts original music by Steve Whalley-Routley.”
Baskerville – a Sherlock Holmes mystery opens on Wednesday August 16 at 7.30pm at the Lieder Theatre in Goldsmith Street and continues every Friday, Saturday and Wednesday until September 2. There will be one matinee at 2pm on Saturday, August 26.
