Six people were arrested in an operation targeting visitors attempting to smuggle contraband into Goulburn Correctional Centre on Saturday.

The operation was led by the Hume Local Area Command, Corrective Services personnel, specialist police officers and drug-detection dogs.
Nineteen people and 52 vehicles were searched. Illicit drugs and contraband were allegedly found on seven people.
Nine people were refused entry to the correctional centre for allegedly having positive indications to drugs. Items seized included methamphetamine (ice), cannabis, steroids, heroin and the opioid buprenorphine.
A 22-year-old Queanbeyan man was charged with four counts of supplying a prohibited drug. He was granted bail to reappear in court on September 13.
A 29-year-old woman, from Ngunnawal in the ACT, was charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug. She will appear in Goulburn Local Court on August 30.
A 30-year-old Prestons woman was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and one count of possessing a prohibited drug. She is in custody until her next appearance at Goulburn Local Court on September 13.
