Police Inspector Alison Brennan said a southbound Citroen driven by a 59-year-old Sydney man drifted off the road into the shoulder and crashed into a gum tree near Cowpers Creek Road, some 32km from Goulburn.
The man was not injured but a 75-year-old male in the front passenger seat was trapped by confinement. Police Rescue freed him from the vehicle and he was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital by road ambulance suffering “general scrapes and chest pains.” They were regarded as non life-threatening injuries.
A 49-year-old female passenger in the rear seat sustained minor facial injuries and was also taken to Goulburn Base Hospital.
All of the occupants were from Sydney, police said.
Police, Ambulance and Taralga Rural Fire Service attended the scene.
