Saturday it was the junior’s and adult’s turn with riders with their machines competing across several age divisions and engine capacity.
On Sunday the senior riders took to the open paddock track competing in age divisions and in open racing.
Along with a strong contingent from the Goulburn Motor Cycle Club riders came from the Far South Coast, Cooma, Nowra, ACT and Macarthur clubs to compete.
Goulburn Motor Cycle Club hosted the event and Towrang Rural Fire Service provided the barbecue and hosing down of bikes. The club was also fundraising for Ivy Exantus, a young local girl suffering from severe aplastic anemia.
The racing was on the Divall family’s property who also assisted with watering to reduce the dust level. The paddocks over which the course was set up will be ploughed and sown, turning it back to pasture for spring.
Goulburn will also be hosting round six, the final round of the series, on the weekend of September 16 and 17. This round will be held at Herfoss’ Farm on Gretta Road, off Braidwood Road.
This is another picturesque location, it overlooks Goulburn Airport and weather permitting spectators can also watch skydivers glide to earth.
