Goulburn Stockmen women must win their preliminary final, on Sunday against Yass Magpies, for the underdogs spot in the grand final. The Katrina Fanning Shield tackle side, which has played well all season but has been weakened by player injuries, lost 34-10 to Queanbeyan Blues last Friday night. They face the Magpies at Queanbeyan’s Seiffert Oval at 12.10pm on Sunday. This will be the last game for the day, in which a Goulburn team is represented. Immediately before them the Goulburn under 18 boys take on Queanbeyan Blues at 10.40am. In the first time-slot for the day Goulburn Workers Bulldogs play Yass Girl Pies at 9.25am for the honour of playing in the grand final.

Last Sunday the Bulldogs u18s defeated West Belconnen 36 to 14 to earn their spot in this week’s preliminary final. Our ladies leagues tag Bulldogs defeated Belconnen United Sharks 16 to 10. Goulburn’s try came from K Gann, C Hately and A Marmont. S Curry kicked two goals.
