The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium (GRC) is all set for the annual youth busking competition, an event which will see multiple students performing live music along Auburn Street.

This is the fourth year BUSKOUT! has run in Goulburn and GRC director Paul Scott-Williams said it was always nice to see the main streets filled with music.
“Playing music in an open environment is really challenging, so it’s great to see the kids doing their best and receiving so much support,” Mr Scott-Williams said.
Buskers aged 5-18 will perform and be assessed by secret judges on their musical skill, entertainment value, creativity and professionalism.
All buskers will keep any money made on the day with the winning busker receiving a free recording session.
“Everybody wins on the day, so it’s a really positive experience for all of the young musicians involved,” he said.
Local businesses are encouraged to contact the GRC to house the live music or donate prizes to the musicians.
The acts will be held from 12 to 2pm on September 2. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at 3pm in the GRC.
Participants are required to fill an entry form and pay a $20 fee.
