Our last meeting was on September 4 and we realised that we have only two more meetings this year before our Christmas luncheon in December.

The Legacy bus trip was on the 8th when we visited Kentgrove, the historical property on Gorman Road.
The stone and brick homestead was thought to have been built in the 1850s. Daniel Kadwell, who emigrated from Kent, was an early owner and hailed from a well known orchardist family in Goulburn.
Owner Doug Rawlinson, a retired nurseryman, has restored the grounds.
After walking around the different gardens that have been created by Mr Rawlinson, we enjoyed morning tea.
After leaving Kentgrove we went to Marulan driving around this small township to see the growth and development that has occurred, then to the restaurant at the southern BP garage to relax and have lunch. To complete the day we drove home through Bungonia, noting buildings and homes of historical interest.
Our meeting next month will be on October 9, a week later than usual because of the long weekend the week before. This will be a busy meeting as there are many items to be discussed so a full attendance of all members will be appreciated.
There were three birthdays being celebrated this month, Betty King on 7th, Dot McCabe on the 12th and Lois Hussell on the 15th. We wish these ladies a very happy day.
Next month there should be a lot more to report on forthcoming events and functions that will keep us busy till the end of this year.
