The Camp is the last chance for the Lakers and Strikers to train together before they head off to Perth for the Australian Hockey League (AHL), where both teams will take on Australia's finest athletes from across all States in a round-robin tournament. The AHL will run from September 28 - October 8.
The Canberra Lakers and Strikers Pre-AHL Camp includes a friendly training match between the Canberra Lakers and the Hockey ACT President's 11s, which will take place on Saturday at 4pm on the Carter Field, prompting some excellent media opportunities. Also part of the Camp is the final training session for the Canberra Strikers, taking place on Saturday at 3pm on the Watt Field.
The Canberra Lakers and Strikers Pre-AHL Camp is the final chance for those in the Hockey ACT and surrounding regions to come out and witness the teams in action, as they prepare to compete against Australia's best at the AHL.
