Trained by Jodie Lord at Gunning, Champion Model was unstoppable in taking out the Canberra Cup in September, but disappointing in a Group 1 meet later in the month.

Champion Model drops in class on Tuesday, lining up in box two in race seven, which is one of three heats of the Palmerbet Goulburn To Wenty series (440m). It will be her first start at Goulburn since July, but the greyhound has a good record at the track, having won two from four starts, and is likely to start as short-priced favourite.
Nino De Oro, who will jump from box four in heat two (race six), is aiming for six wins in a row. Trained by Subawa Ngurah, Nino De Oro won nicely over the 440m at Goulburn on 19 September before defeating a quality field to take out a 472m race at Bulli.
The top two from each heat plus the two fastest second placegetters will qualify for the final at Wentworth Park on October 18.
In other action, Beside The Truth should appreciate a drop in class when he lines up from box seven in race nine (350m) – the Madbookie Stakes – in his first start at Goulburn since he won in May. Trained by Peter Sims at Illabo, near Wagga, he has been racing in top grade at Wentworth Park recently, with two wins and two places.
While Beside The Truth comes up against some quality greyhounds in the form of Hardaway Highway and Fubre, if he is anywhere near his best Beside The Truth should be in with a strong winning chance.
Goulburn’s Tuesday meeting also features three heats of the Goulburn To Wenty series (440m). Racing gets underway on Tuesday at 12.15pm.
