Zambreros are known for doing their bit to alleviate hunger throughout the world by donating food under their Plate for Plate program.

This means for every burrito or bowl that is bought – a meal is donated to a person from disadvantaged communities across Africa, Asia and the Americas.

In Goulburn on Friday, October 20, Zambreros Goulburn doubled this with their Meal Packing Day.

Under this program, the Mexican restaurant chain donated two meals to those in need for every burrito or bowl sold in Goulburn.

Goulburn Store manager Rachael Gosling said nothing rivals the feeling of helping another human being.

“The people of Goulburn have been integral to the success of our donations so far,” Ms Gosling said.

Under the Plate for Plate Program nearly 17 million meals have been donated to date and Zambrero aims to donate one billion by 2025.
