Falcon’s Fury, trained by Paul Braddon at Cowra, looks well drawn for Tuesday’s assignment, jumping from box seven in race seven – the Palmerbet Stakes – over 440m. This will be a good chance for Falcon’s Fury to get his eye-in in the build up to the Goulburn Workers Club Cup, which kicks off with heats on November 14.
While Falcon’s Fury will likely start a short-priced favourite, local trainer Denice Warren will be hoping to spoil his return with a two-pronged attack in the race from Quoted Dynasty and Silent Sonny. Both are in good form and have a solid record at Goulburn.
Four heats of the Madbookie series over the 350m is also on Tuesday afternoon program. Yass trainer and Goulburn regular, Neil Staines has a good hand in the opening heat (race three, 350m) with Country Commet. After three places in his last five starts, Country Commet could return to the winner’s circle here where he has recorded a very quick 19.80 for the trip. Quick Dollars, coming off a fast 22.81 win at Richmond looks the danger to Country Commet while Triple Twist might appreciate the wide draw and could surprise.
Les Zarr Lee could make it a race-to-race double for Staines in the second heat (race four, 350m). With a record of two wins and two placings from five starts on the track, Les Zarr Lee looks the one to beat and looks one of the better bets on the card.
The third heat (race five, 350m) looks a three-way clash between locals Aidin’s Sister, Sunlit Digger and Say Sayang, with the lightly raced Sunlit Digger just getting the nod.
Blayney Opal will make the journey across from Bathurst to contest the final heat (race six, 350m). Trainer Cliff Rushworth is hoping for better luck after Blayney Opal was checked early, last week at Goulburn.
Our Equity has a good record at Goulburn and looks the danger to Blayney Opal while Law And Order has been successful at his last two Goulburn starts.
Racing starts at 12.37pm, on Tuesday for the 11 race card.
