Look out for Joe Rider Motorcycle Awareness Week is on again, from October 23 – 27.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council is encouraging people to ‘Look out for Joe Rider’ for the chance to win a $50 fuel voucher.
Throughout the week, the council will have five different ‘Joe Riders’ riding around Goulburn with bright pink vests on.
If you spot Joe, you simply need to visit Your Say Goulburn or Council’s Facebook page to register your ‘Joe sighting’ by telling us where and when you spotted him.
If you aren’t a regular Internet user you can also drop into the council where hard copy surveys are also available.
A council spokesperson said the campaign has been designed to create awareness of motorcycle riders on the roads.
“It encourages motorists to be actively aware of motorcycles as they are travelling,” the spokesperson said.
“The $50 fuel vouchers will be given away each weekday throughout Motorcycle Awareness Week. You can also listen to 93.5 Eagle FM as these will be announced by Billy for Breakfast each morning.
“This year we also have a voucher to give away to residents who look for Joe throughout the week but never see him – simply jump onto Your Say Goulburn at the end of the week, tick the box that says you looked for Joe but didn’t spot him, and enter your details.”
