I am pleased to inform you that we are well on the way to opening at the beginning of 2018, and last week we announced the appointment of Ash Jones, a Goulburn local, as centre manager.
We were lucky to have a number of high quality candidates apply for the roll, and we are extremely excited to have appointed Ashlee to the roll. She brings extensive experience in teaching, but also in financial management, marketing and communication; all essential skills for the success of this centre.
Ash will be beginning fulltime in December in preparation for the 2018 opening, with enrolments expected to open soon. Any enquiries at the moment can be directed to Jackson Reardon at the council, and soon we will have a contact number and email for Ash who will be throwing herself into the roll for this fantastic new community facility.
Next week’s Council meeting
We will be considering a number of important issues at our last meeting for November:
A tender for road widening works included in the 2017/18 budget
A request for financial assistance from the Goulburn and District Historical Society
A financial adjustment required for Gurrundah Road pavement improvement works
A report on the status of the Seiffert Oval cricket pavilion replacement
2018 Community Outreach meeting dates
Outreach meetings continue
The 2017 community outreach meetings continue, and as with each year it has been a great opportunity to discuss issues relevant to our smaller communities.
On November 16 we visit the Towrang Community Hall from 6.30pm, next Thursday (23rd) we will be in Tallong at the Memorial Hall, and on Tuesday, November 28 we will hold our final outreach meeting for the year in Bungonia at the Community Hall from 6.30pm.
