Drawing from 15 project user groups formed to work on specific areas of care, designs for the Goulburn Base Hospital and Health Service Redevelopment will be made available to the public at upcoming community drop in sessions.

With a redevelopment costing the state government $120 million, Goulburn MP Pru Goward said the designs demonstrate the “layout and feel” of what may be achieved.
Ms Goward said the project user groups (PUGs) were made up of nurses, medical officers and other health professionals and staff.
Additionally a specific PUG for patients and consumers was also set up to “provide a further opportunity for the health service to meet the community’s needs,” she said.
Ms Goward said she expected to the people of Goulburn to be “thrilled with the planned changes”.
Construction is expected to being in 2018.
“Our community is growing and our health services need to meet that demand,” she said.
In addition to the renders, a ‘fly through video’ was also released online.
Ms Goward said project team leaders will be available to respond to any “queries or concerns” at the community drop in sessions.
“All feedback received on the day may help guide the construction of Goulburn’s hospital redevelopment,” she said.
The community drop in sessions will be held on the corner of Goldsmith and Auburn Street on November 30, between 2pm and 7pm and on December 2 between 10am and 2pm
