Last Thursday , November 23, they gathered at Sportspower Goulburn, which has been the PSSA’s major sponsor for many years to present the medals to each of the achievers.
Goulburn/Crookwell PSSA president Andrew Mewburn introduced all the champions before the awards were presented.
“All three carnivals were a pleasure to attend. It was amazing to see the children in the district compete., “ Mr Mewburn said “The sporting talent, effort and sportsmanship of all the children were on display for the whole community to see.
“Our district took teams of our top athletes to the South Coast Region carnivals in Canberra, Cambewarra and Dapto.
“I would like to thank the schools, organising teachers, Goulburn Mulwaree Council and the Goulburn/Crookwell sporting community for their support of these events.
“In addition to our major carnivals, the Goulburn/Crookwell District PSSA provides a representative pathway for our primary school children. It is a pleasure to encourage them and to see them succeed. The PSSA is invaluable in setting our children up for future success in High School and beyond. We have had many children go on to compete at National and International level.
“Thank you to Caroline Begg and Sports Power for their continuing sponsorship that helps with sporting equipment for our carnivals and trials.”
