The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all adult members of the Goulburn Mulwaree Library, who can register at any time from now until January 30. Each registrant will receive a Summer Reading Challenge bag, including information on the challenge, bookmarks, a postcard, and a book light.
As part of the challenge, registrants can take part in the ‘Badly Described Books’ hunt. Be the first person to successfully identify one of the 10 books in the hunt from its description and win a gift voucher for the Lilac City Cinema or Bowral Bookshop.
There will also be five gift voucher draws over the Summer Reading Challenge period. To be part of the draw, participants simply submit a review in the week(s) before the draw.
Reviews can be submitted either in paper form or through the Library’s online catalogue, making it easy to get involved whether participants are staying at home or going away over the holiday period.
Draw dates are:
- December 18 – The Bowral Bookshop $50 gift card
- January 8 – Lilac City Cinema voucher for 4 adult movie tickets and $15 candy bar voucher
- January 15 – The Bowral Bookshop $50 gift card
- January 22 – Lilac City Cinema voucher for 4 adult movie tickets and $15 candy bar voucher
- January 29 – The Bowral Bookshop $50 gift card
“A lot people don’t get a chance to read as much as they would like during the year” said the Library adult programs and outreach officer Susan McIlroy. “Use the summer break to get through some of your ‘to-be-read’ list and maybe win a gift voucher.”
