Weather disrupts sport on Saturday

Saturday's wet weather forced the cancellation  or postponing of several sporting events around the district. The ducks on Seiffert Oval were appreciative that the covers didn't come off the recently repaired wickets for junior cricket. It was too wet for the juniors to play on the artificial turf wickets either. With a several centimetres of water pooling in the outfield of Seiffert Oval and rain falling before 9am senior cricket was also cancelled. The Tablelands Tin Spinners barrel racing contest was postponed till December 16. Goulburn bowlers were unable to get onto the greens for their presentation day bowls, so they brought the presentation forward in a hope they might get some ends in in the afternoon.
