Two performance companies have signalled interest in touring to Goulburn only one week after the Performing Arts Centre’s (PAC) approval.
The Goulburn Mulwaree Council was approached by the Australian Ballet as part of its regional tour and Sydney Drag Queens for ‘Priscilla – Queen of the Desert’.
Both wish to host shows soon after the centre is complete.
A spokesperson for the council told The Post a Performing Arts Centre manager will be responsible for liaising with groups and making contact with touring shows.
The PAC was approved by the Southern Regional Planning Panel (JRPP) on Dec 8 following a deferral in July.
The facility will be housed in the McDermott Centre and seat about 400 people.
Independent consultants Purdon Planning cited 1604 parking spaces in a 15 minute walking radius.
More to come.
