Three talented local basketballers - Maddie Dodson, Zoe Divall and Hannah Bowles - thank the Lions Club of Goulburn City for its support.

Goulburn City Lions Club contributed a sum of $900 to assist the girls, who have been selected to play in the Under 14 and under 16 NSW Country team in the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup at Albury, from January 14 to 20.

The annual tournament is an exciting pathway for regional basketball players from throughout Australia and from New Zealand to develop their skills and represent their state in a national level competition.

Among the players whose names appear on the honour roll of national representatives who have participated in past Australian Junior Country Cup tournaments in Albury are Lauren Jackson and Patty Mills, and from Goulburn, Cathy Whittaker and Brad Simpson.

The Goulburn girls have also been asked if they would like to be considered for selection in a team to tour New Zealand in April 2018.
