The twilight fete at Angels for the Forgotten on Saturday afternoon suffered poor attendance presumably because of the heat. Goulburn branch founder Melina Skidmore was disappointed at the lack of community response, but put it down in part to the heat that kept people indoors and competing activities.

For those who did venture out there were plenty of interesting and sometimes quirky items for sale at the various stalls that would have made great stocking fillers or presents for people.
Goulburn Region Woodworkers who make quality wooden toys for needy kids at Christmas as well as create numerous other practical and decorative items from wood were on hand demonstrating some of their craft work. There were plenty of stall holders too. Many with self made craft items that would make wonderful and unique gifts for friends and family.
Unfortunately the jumping castle did not arrive due to its operator having vehicle problems on his way into town.
Despite a shortage of expected competitors for the box sleigh races the events still went ahead once the sting had gone out of the hot sun. Even Cranky Koala and a couple of his friends got into the spirit much to the delight of the youngsters. Santa turned up much more appropriately dressed for the Australian summer but didn’t trust the rubber thongs, rather chose a more safety appropriate pair of joggers with socks and copious quantities of sunscreen for the distribution of goodies from the safety of a cherry picker bucket.
