This match was shot over three cards, each with 20 small scoring ring targets (see the targets on the bench behind Ryan) with only 25 minutes to shoot any “sighting shots” (to check the wind conditions at the beginning) and 20 “scoring shots” . Competition was close with the lead changing with each round, keeping everyone on their toes until the last in the twitchy wind conditions. (The friendly sledging and banter may or may not have had an effect on the final scores!)
The Club Championship is shot on the third Sunday of each month from February to November, with points awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each grade, and I point for competing. The final Championship is contested by the winners of each grade, in December.
The results for the graded competition were,
“A” Grade – 1st Jan Mitchell, 2nd Brian Mitchell,
“B” Grade – 1st Ryan Wilson, 2nd William Irvine and 3rd Geoff Miners,
“C” Grade – 1st Chris Gaul, 2nd Ian Appleby.
