4.45pm Update
The fire has been contained to about 10ha.
“Residents might still see some smoke from burning trees,” Mr Osborne said.
“The fire is suspected to have started from farm machinery.”
He said two RFS crews from Crookwell and Laggan attended the blaze.

A grass fire has broken out on Redground Road near Crookwell this afternoon.
NSW RFS operational officer of the Southern Tablelands Zone, Daniel Osborne said the blaze had currently been restricted by crews at the site.
Mr Osborne was awaiting an update on the situation, but his most recent information stated that there was currently no danger to local properties.
The commander on site stated that firefighters had “sufficient resources” to maintain control of the blaze, Mr Osborne said.
