Fire Control Superintendent Ian Kennerly told the Goulburn Post the rapid response crew begun yesterday and finished at about 1.30am this morning, with more work expected to continue tomorrow.
Superintendent Kennerly said the district was “lucky” and many in town were not in harm.
Areas affected included Gundaroo, near Lake George, Fulton and near the Burrinjuck mountain.
